Our research drives effective and innovative evidence-informed practice that places patients and families at the centre of exceptional care.
The Clinical Chair Program plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting clinical research, scholarship, and mentorship within HSC, aligning with HSC’s Patients First Research Plan and the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS) Research Framework.
The Program Team, together with their clinical and community partners aim to identify, explore, create, evaluate, and disseminate best practice evidence informed clinical knowledge, particularly from a nursing lens. This goal is achieved through an ongoing program of funded research, targeted mentorship of students and developing nurse researchers, and strategic and synergistic clinical and academic partnerships in nursing and other health disciplines within HSC, College of Nursing, RFHS and community stakeholders.
The Chair Program is lead by Dr. Diana McMillan, RN, PhD, Professor, College of Nursing, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2N2.
